Snappy Driver Installer (SDI) is a portable program for installing and updating drivers that does not require an Internet connection. It is a rework of the original SDIO software by Glenn Delahoy. Just like SDIO, it is a leader among programs of this class in terms of driver selection accuracy and operation speed. When ranking drivers, it gives priority to more suitable drivers (regardless of the availability of newer versions) in order to minimize the risks for ordinary users. Experts can appreciate the large amount of information provided about the drivers and the ability to choose an alternative driver.

~ Features ~
Programming language: C / C ++.
The most advanced driver selection algorithm among analogs.
The program “weighs” about 4 megabytes (both versions) and does not require any third-party programs / libraries.
High performance when indexing, searching for a driver, installing.
Support for working with unpacked drivers.
Create system snapshots to emulate someone else’s system on another PC.
Warnings about possible attempts by viruses to infect the USB flash drive with the program.
Possibility to update the program and driverpacks via the Internet (torrent technology).

This distribution is based on the SamDrivers collection with the following differences:
There is no third-party software.
There are no other programs to install the drivers.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of SDI are included .
The distribution is made in the form of a folder, not an .iso image, which allows you to select driverpacks to download.
The distribution is updated with each driverpack release, and not once a month.

Updated all driver packs to version 22.00.0

How do I back up my drivers?
Before creating a backup, you need to install all the necessary drivers to ensure that they work.
Switch on the “expert” mode.
Check the box “Current versions”.
Click the “Select All” button.
Click on the line “Unpack to …” and specify the folder for creating a backup copy.

Note: Since the drivers for the backup are taken directly from the driver packs, because copying the installed drivers cannot be correct due to the absence / deletion of some files required for installation,
in addition to specific drivers, some others will be unpacked by the program. Do not be surprised at the files that are not directly related to a specific driver.

How to reduce SDI size
You can remove any driver pack and even more than one. According to your requests and needs …
Usually there is little demand for server drivers for video cards, for someone drivers for Win XP are out of date, for laptops it is often better to install drivers from vendors, etc.
So we look under the spoiler . distribution and make our choice.
PS. The bin file from indexes / SDI does not need to be deleted when you uninstall the driver pack, the weight there is scanty.
